SOCI-1005 Introduction to Sociology
I think Prof. Callegher is a terrific teacher. He explains things very well. Though English is my second language, I did not have any problems understanding the class. His teaching is to-the-point and well explained.
I enjoy the atmosphere in this class. Prof. Callegher encourages us to learn and apply the concepts he teaches to our everyday lives, which I respect. This course is my favourite course out of my whole schedule.
The class was very informative and very well presented. It was never boring and always a class that I did not have any trouble attending.
Prof. Callegher makes learning enjoyable in the course. He is very encouraging and approachable outside of class. Class discussions/lectures are easy to absorb.
Honestly, I found Prof. Callegher to be the best professor I’ve had while at Fanshawe! He has relatable stories which he incorporates well into the coursework and class discussions. His teaching method is most beneficial to me because he told us what we had to know for the next class and then we would have class discussions based on what we needed to know. This is the most effective method for me to learn. I genuinely enjoyed the sociology course and look forward to pursuing sociology at university.

Overall, he is one of my favourite instructors. I have been out of school for 14 years and instructors like Prof. Callegher have made my experience an enjoyable one.
With this course, Prof. Callegher involved everyone and allowed for the difference of opinion 100% of the time. He gives examples that are very sufficient to what we are learning. Very interesting and very knowledgeable of the subject. Very well liked and knows what our generation acts like.

Prof. Callegher’s way of teaching this class is a lot better than my other classes. He actually wants the students to get involved in the discussions. His teaching methods were very thought-provoking; using video clips was an excellent way to understand the topic of the lecture. I really enjoyed him as a teacher. I didn’t know anything about sociology but he opened my mind to it and I’m going to pursue further sociology courses.
This has been a wonderful course. Prof. Callegher presented the course material well and made it challenging, interesting, and worthwhile. At times, he presented his personal understanding and experiences, and most of the time he was objective and never mixed the two. I admire him and look up to him as a role model.
Prof. Callegher allows you to form your own opinions in the course, no matter what anyone else thinks. He gives you his full attention and is a very well-liked professor by the students. He knows what he is talking about, which helps students understand the content a lot better. Overall, he is a great professor.
Prof. Callegher’s teaching methods were very good. He helped anyone if they needed extra help. When assigning tests and assignments he was very fair. He made learning about sociology easy and very interesting.
SOCI-1008 Sociology of Deviance
I really appreciated the discussions at the beginning of the course, which gave the class a unique vibe. I also appreciated the freedom of expression that I was able to express in assignments. It was great to have a professor who was flexible and had a good attitude (respectful) toward students.
I liked the respect that was shown to students and felt that it encouraged participation. Learning our names was a nice touch. Overall, I enjoyed the course. In comparison to my other classes, Prof. Callegher had the highest attendance rate (by far). The proof is in the pudding!
Overall, Prof. Callegher was great. His teaching methods were very effective because he was able to encourage us to learn through making sociology class fun and interesting. There was never a time in class where I was not interested in what he had to say!

Prof. Callegher efficiently managed his time for the curriculum while also keeping the class attentive, entertaining, and educational. PowerPoint slides were well-correlated with the lectures.
Prof. Callegher was one of the most enjoyable profs I have encountered in the General Arts program here at Fanshawe. He related well to students and seemed to really care that his students achieved the highest grade that they could grasp. He also had positive influence on all his students during election time and really cared that the youth of society have their voices heard in Canada.
