Major brands have noticed the meme’s popularity and have created their own renditions. And if YouTube comments are any indication, they are NOT being mocked for doing so. Some of these incude lululemon, Pepsi, and Go Daddy.

Of course, my marketing student had another reason for wanting to address the class, which was to inform them that there had been chatter around campus about filming a Harlem Shake for our institution, and that everyone should stay tuned for the date and time.
